From our workshop

We are broadening our offer – our workshop products are newly included! These are engineered, semi-finished products designed for further processing. We always sell one-meter pieces of the following materials made out of a stainless steel:

  • Stainless steel - pole (DIN 1.4301 /AISI 304 / ČSN 17240),
the diameter ranging between 6 and 30 mm
  • Stainless steel - pipes (DIN 1.4301 / AISI 304 / ČSN 17240 and DIN 1.4404 /AISI 316L / ČSN 17349 ),
the diameter ranging between 22 and 33.7 mm
  • Stainless steel – in form of bands (DIN 1.4301 /AISI 304 / ČSN 17240 ),

DIN 1.4301 steel – main characteristics

General, stainless austenitizated steel (so called food industry stainless steel) containing 18 % of chromium (Cr) and 10 % of nickel (Ni). Chemical composition complies with the norm for product using for the foodstuffs and drinking water. The maximum temperature is 450 °C. This alloyed noble steel is highly resistant against corrosion in water and air mediums with no presence of chlorides or inorganic acids and salts. Surface corrosion resistance may be increased by polishing. Stainless steel 1.4301 is workable and possible to be welded quite well.

DIN 1.4404 steel – main characteristics

Stainless steel 1.4404 is a corrosion-resistant, chromium-nickel, austenitizated and not stabilized steel containing 16.5 – 18.5 % of chromium (Cr) and 10 – 12 % of nickel (Ni). Its chemical composition complies with the standard for using of products for foodstuffs and drinking water. This alloyed noble steel is highly resistant against corrosion in water environment, and it is extremely resistant against hole corrosion in a presence of chlorides and, especially, against sulfuric and phosphoric acids. This stainless steel is, however, less suitable in environments containing nitric acid. Surface corrosion resistance may be increased by polishing. Stainless steel 1.4404 is workable and possible to be welded, without a risk of inter-crystalline corrosion occurrence.
